Pet Bathing

Although we love them, dirty paws and all, sometimes our pets need a little freshening up.

At Junaluska Animal Hospital, we offer soothing pet baths for dogs and cats, and we also offer Medicated baths for those that need a little extra attention. We offer bath, nail trim, anal gland expression, and ear cleanings. Please call us for pricing.

Bathing Cats

Cats have built-in grooming tools (tongue and teeth, of course), your fastidious feline is well-equipped to tackle her own hair care needs; sometimes they can have accidents that can lead to sticky or smelly coats. When this happens, it may be in your best interest to hand your feline over to us for bath time. The process isn’t traumatic for him or her; in fact, it will be quick and easy.

Bathing Dogs

It happens to all if not most dog parents: When he or she goes for a run in the mud or one of the most popular he or she gets sprayed by a skunk or finds something rotten to roll in. This sometimes can be horrifying events to a loving pet owner. When this happens, relieve yourself of the responsibility that dirties your bathtub—and yourself—for the sake of cleaning your dog.

Medicated Baths

Some pets may need frequent medical bathing for the treatment of various skin issues. In such cases, the animal should be bathed with a specially formulated shampoo up to twice weekly, depending on the severity of the disorder.

  • Cleansing and grooming: These shampoos are used for routine cleansing and conditioning of the skin.
  • Antiseborrheic: This product is used to treat a condition that results in scaly and/or greasy skin.
  • Antibacterial: This type of shampoo is used to treat topical bacterial infections also known as pyoderma.
  • Antipruritic: These shampoos help soothe the skin and reduce itching.
